Spotlight on Cogenhoe

The civil parish of Cogenhoe and Whiston is a large village in the county of Northamptonshire which can trace its history back to the Bronze Age.  Situated above the River Nene in the Nene valley and surrounded by beautiful English countryside this village is an ideal place to immerse yourself

“For anyone contemplating the move from the city to the countryside, Cogenhoe could be an ideal first choice

The village has excellent sporting facilities such as its own football, cricket and bowls clubs.  Or why not pop into the Royal Oak pub for a drink and a meal chosen from a wide ranging menu.  You can find out about all the local events on the Facebook pages Cogenhoe Village Chatter and Cogenhoe Residents Past and Present, both great for keeping up to date with what’s happening in the village

The town of Northampton is a mere 8 miles away with good train links to London’s Euston and St Pancras stations in less than an hour, and an extensive range of shops, bars, restaurants and theatres can be found there.  Road links are good too with the M1 being just 8 miles away.

The primary school has an Ofsted rating of Good as does Wollaston Secondary School and further schools are within easy reach, including Northampton School for Boys which has an Ofsted rating of Outstanding
