There were some bargains to be had in the housing market this year, but also some expensive sales and the most expensive house in Bedfordshire sold for more than £2m this year.

The Manor was not the only home to swap hands for huge sums of cash. Fernwood, on Church Road in Woburn Sands, sold for £1.7m, while Peers Lodge on Main Road in Biddenham, went for £1.65m.
But while the prices of these homes may bring tears to the eyes of some buyers, there were deals to be had in Bedfordshire this year.
The cheapest home sold in the county was a flat on 111 Valerian Way, Stotfold, which was sold for a bargain price of £56,250. A steal for anyone looking for their first property.

The Land Registry lists the price paid for every property bought at market value. The data also includes sales under a power of sale/repossessions, buy-to-lets (where they can be identified by a mortgage) and transfers to non-private individuals.
As the data relies on buyers, or their solicitors, registering the sale and the price paid with the Land Registry, mistakes in listings may happen, although they are usually corrected at a later date. Issues can include figures with too many digits or shared ownership prices paid for a part share listed as the whole price.
