Kitchen / Breakfast Room
Through the front door under a brick-pillared porch is the central entrance hall, giving access via staircase to the first floor, and to the principal rooms to both sides. To the right of the home is the superb triple aspect open plan kitchen, dining and snug area. The kitchen is fitted in a wide variety of modern white gloss cupboards, drawers and wine rack, with worktops and upstands, and inset Franke sink and drainer. Integrated appliances include a five-ring induction hob with extractor, Neff, ‘Hide and Slide’ oven, grill and warming drawer, Kenwood dishwasher, and there is an alcove for an American-style fridge/freezer. The breakfast bar with pendant lighting unites the kitchen and dining areas. French doors open onto the terrace, perfect for convenient al fresco dining and socialising. From the kitchen, the utility room provides the boiler cupboard (boiler replaced in 2018, with Hive-controlled heating), further storage cupboard, sink and drainer, space for a washing machine, and doors leading to both the garden and cloakroom. To the left of the property are the lounge and study. The dual aspect lounge is a generous yet cosy room, featuring an exposed brick chimney breast and fireplace with stove and granite hearth. The study is an ideal spot for separating work time, being situated at the end of the ground floor accommodation, away from the main kitchen/living area, and Ultrafast fibre to the property (FTTP) is available throughout the house.
The first floor rooms grant beautiful views across the village, and over fields and countryside beyond. The central staircase leads to the landing, which runs across the whole length of the house. To the right is the dual aspect master bedroom featuring a dressing area with a range of built-in wardrobes. The brand new en suite shower room comprises wc, double width vanity sink with storage, and Aqualisa double shower cubicle. At the end of the landing is the recently refitted family bathroom, comprising wc, vanity sink with storage, and panelled bath with Aqualisa rainhead shower and glass screen. Continuing to the left are the remaining bedrooms. Bedrooms two and three overlook the front, and bedroom three benefits from a fitted wardrobe and lit alcove for desk or dressing table space. Bedrooms four and five are adjoining, offering the opportunity for a nursery and bedroom set-up, or guest suite. The loft is accessed via hatch from both the master and bedroom three, and a further loft via hatch from the study.
Via wooden gate to the entrance of the plot is the block paved driveway, affording off road parking for several vehicles. The lawned frontage has hedged boundaries and planted borders. A path leads from the driveway to both the porch and garden gate. The sectioned off side garden presents a good-sized lawn, vegetable beds, wooden corner pergola, and the recently laid patio backing onto paddock and fields. The current owners rent the paddock at the rear of the house, where they keep chickens. The garage offers further storage and/or off road parking, and gives access to the oil tank cupboard and log store.
